Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength contains the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), diclofenac diethylamine. Diclofenac diethylamine works to relieve pain and reduce inflammation (swelling). The technology in Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin to deliver diclofenac diethylamine to the site of pain. Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength can be applied twice daily (morning and evening) to last up to a day.
The gel is absorbed through the skin and creates a reservoir of diclofenac diethylamine under the skin when applied regularly, from where the drug is released slowly over the course of time for the relief of pain and inflammation.
Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength is indicated for the relief of aches and pain associated with acute, localized minor muscle or joint injuries such as sprains, strains or sports injuries (e.g.ankle sprain, shoulder strain, or back muscle pain).
Directions:For adults between 18 to 65 years: Apply 2 gel times a day for 5 days.
The amount of diclofenac diethylamine applied (2 g / 60 minutes) is based on how much diclofenac diethylamine is absorbed during the first few hours. No more than 3 times per week can be given in adult patients.
In the sprain area: apply gel twice a day to soften the injury. If necessary, you can consider applying gel as needed, before and after vaccinations or sprays or X-rays or kidney or bladder surgery.
For patients with existing conditions: Apply Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength 2 g / 60 minutes before or after a sports or academic wear and tear.

It relieves the pain and inflammation associated with arthritis, strains, sprains, and other types of arthritis. It works by blocking enzymes that cause inflammation and swelling in the body. Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength penetrates the cartilage and bone around the joint making it easier for you to get and keep an infection-free pain reliever.
Active substance: Diclofenac diethylamine gel 1.16%
Dosage: 10-20 drops (5-10g) in the affected joint twice daily.
For each joint, you will use an extra gel to keep the area dry for 12 hours.
Wash your hands before use. Rinse the hands with warm water and dry the affected area thoroughly before using.
Do not use Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength if you are allergic to diclofenac or other active ingredients.
